Inverto: a successful expansion in Madrid for the German procurement consultancy

At the end of 2023, Inverto, a consultancy specialized in procurement strategy and supply chain management, and a subsidiary of the Boston Consulting Group, announced the opening of a new office in Madrid

Headquartered in Cologne and already established in several European capitals, the firm was taking another step forward in its international growth.

Now present in ten countries, Inverto justified its choice by the desire to get closer to a Spanish market in full transformation, a dynamic environment where cost control, supply chain security, and sustainability have become top priorities for both large corporations and mid-sized companies. “Spain is a high-potential market, with growing needs in procurement strategy and risk management”, the management team stated in its opening announcement.

The new office was placed under the leadership of Manuel Berlanga, who brings extensive international experience in procurement and organizational transformation. Based in Madrid, his team’s mission is to support local clients in implementing solutions that combine performance and resilience.

A first year marked by strong demand

A few months after the launch, Inverto shared an encouraging first assessment. In an interview published on the company’s website, Manuel Berlanga said : “We launched several projects as soon as we arrived, and I’m impressed by the number of client requests we’ve received. Inverto is clearly on a fast growth trajectory“. This testimony reflects a robust start, driven by the reputation of the BCG Group and by the relevance of the services offered to a market in search of practical solutions amid supply chain tensions and the sustainability transition.

Growth confirmed in 2024

In June 2024, Inverto announced a reinforcement of its management team in Spain, appointing José Carande Morgado as a new Managing Director alongside Manuel Berlanga. According to the official release, this development was “motivated by business growth and the strong demand for services since the opening of the Madrid office”.

Barely a year after its establishment, the Madrid office was already emerging as a growing entity, supported by an expanded leadership team to accompany the firm’s rising presence in the Iberian market.

An expansion built to last

The company continues its international development in parallel, with new offices opening in Berlin, Riyadh and Bangkok, confirming the strength of a model based on local proximity and the sharing of expertise between teams.
