The event, held at the Real Casa de Correos, the seat of the regional government, was attended by the CEO of ING Spain and Portugal, Alfonso Tolcheff, and the Managing Director of ING Hubs Spain, Konstantin Gordievitch.
The agreement establishes a joint framework for action to launch digital transformation projects and promote the creation of high-quality employment in a more robust and competitive environment. It includes several lines of work, with training programs tailored to the needs of the technology and financial sectors, as well as initiatives aimed at facilitating the integration of specialized professionals into the labor market.
The parties will also cooperate on research and Artificial Intelligence projects focused on improving business competitiveness and advancing the modernization of public services. In addition, the agreement seeks to strengthen Madrid’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by supporting tech startups and fostering their connection with investment opportunities. The text highlights ING’s technology center in Madrid (ING Hubs Spain), inaugurated last October and one of six such centers the group has worldwide, as a unique opportunity to reinforce public-private collaboration in this field.
