As part of its efforts to attract foreign investment and promote the Madrid Region as an ideal destination for establishing any business and life project, Invest in Madrid attended VivaTech, one of Europe’s largest technology events, which brings together technology companies, major corporations, entrepreneurs, investors, public institutions, researchers and media outlets.
During the event, we held meetings with internationalising scale-ups with the aim of presenting the Madrid Region as a preferred investment destination compared with other European capitals.
We also met with our counterparts at Choose Paris Region, with the delegation from the Aichi Government, with whom the Madrid Region signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at strengthening institutional, commercial, cultural and investment relations between both regions, particularly in areas such as industry, innovation and digitalisation, as well as with various multipliers and partners, including Business France and ESCP.
VivaTech is a key meeting point to witness how technology is transforming the economy and society.
In addition, during this trip to Paris, we took part in a visit to the French innovation ecosystem together with ICEX, gaining first-hand insight into its main players, such as the Station F accelerator.
The Madrid Region offers a business environment committed to reducing bureaucracy and excessive regulation. Recognised for its progressive business framework, Madrid demonstrates the regional government’s commitment to fostering an environment conducive to business growth and foreign investment. The region provides legal certainty and institutional stability for investors — essential pillars for investing with confidence.
It is the only region in Spain with no regional taxes of its own and has the lowest and most competitive tax burden in Spain.
