In her view, the trajectory of this German company is a “reflection of the best version” of a Madrid that is “demanding, ambitious, and open to the world.”
Díaz Ayuso thanked companies such as Mercedes for placing their trust in a region that is “home to everyone, where so many people want to invest, study, hire talent, and enjoy the best moments of their lives.” In this regard, she stressed that this situation is the result of years of consistent policies “centered around freedom,” public-private collaboration, respect for corporate decision-making, less bureaucracy, and an attractive tax environment.
Díaz Ayuso also highlighted Germany as one of Madrid’s “great partners,” with more than €4 billion invested over the last seven years and more than 1,600 companies operating in sectors such as automotive, engineering, life sciences and healthcare, digitalization, logistics, distribution, finance, and insurance, among others.
