This was highlighted by the Regional Minister for Economy, Finance and Employment at the closing ceremony of the international innovation and entrepreneurship event South Summit, held at La Nave in Villaverde, whose edition this year has focused on AI.
In this regard, Albert recalled that the regional government has already trained more than 8,700 students in technologies such as generative AI and data analytics through the Digital Talent Plan, with job placement rates exceeding 60%. This is complemented by the agreement signed this week between the regional government and Microsoft to provide free AI training to 75,000 residents of Madrid over the coming year. More than 7,500 startups from 134 countries and 2,100 investors gathered at this fifteenth edition of South Summit, whose Startup Competition featured a majority of companies from Madrid, with 19 of the 49 participating startups.
