Madrid Region highlights legal certainty and reduced bureaucracy at MIPIM as key to attracting real estate investment

The Madrid Region emphasized at the 2026 MIPIM international fair that legal certainty and reduced bureaucracy are essential for attracting real estate investment to the region

This was highlighted today by the regional ministers of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, and Environment, Agriculture and Interior, Carlos Novillo, during their participation in the panel Housing and Urban Growth in the Madrid Region: A Promising Future for Investors and Citizens, alongside executives from DWS and Panattoni, two companies with extensive global experience in the sector.

During the meeting, both ministers highlighted the regional government’s efforts to improve the investment ecosystem through measures such as streamlining procedures, creating the Urban Accelerator, and launching the Land Portal 4.0, which provides information on more than 560 public plots available across over 100 municipalities. They also emphasized the commitment to public-private collaboration and projects such as the new urban consortia in Móstoles and Leganés, which together cover more than three million square meters of land aimed at promoting the region’s economic growth.
