Madrid Region will be attending South Summit Brazil 2023 holding the Seminar “Madrid: the place to scale your startup”. The panel, which will take place on March 29th at 10:30 on Demo Stage, will showcase opportunities for foreign startups and scaleups willing to set up their businesses in Madrid.
The Invest in Madrid event will be held on the first day of the Tech Conference South Summit Brazil in Porto Alegre featured high-level representatives from public and private institutions showcasing investment opportunities for international startups within Madrid’s Ecosystem.
Moderated by Diego de Arístegui, FDI Project Director at Invest in Madrid, the panel discussion will include Rocío Schettini, Director at the Office for the Promotion of the Madrid System of Universities, Science and Innovation; Gabriela Morais Toribio, Managing Director at Wayra Brazil and Vivo Ventures and Annick Janssens, Director at the Venture Lab accelerator at the Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid as speakers.
Invest in Madrid, together with the speakers, will highlight the importance of the availability of talent and the investment tools supported by international corporations such as Telefónica in Madrid Region. Both Wayra Brazil and IE Business School will address initiatives that serve as a natural bridge between Latin America and Europe for startups.
The Community of Madrid continues its commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship to strengthen and boost its economy. The regional office for attracting foreign investment, Invest In Madrid, is part of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment. Invest in Madrid’s presence at the tech conference South Summit Brazil is a way to promote the region as one of the most important hubs in Southern Europe.
This round table will open a debate on the opportunities offered by the Madrid Region to support international innovative projects and the investment tools for them. In 2021 Madrid was the main region in Spain receiving investment aimed at startups.
A total of €2,489 million from public and private funds were invested in 2021 to light up and develop innovative startup projects within the region.
