“Madrid, the place to scale your startup” is the new edition of the “Madrid Investors Talk”, the round table with which Invest In Madrid, the regional office for attracting foreign investment of Madrid Region goverment, has already attended several international startup exhibitions. After the South Summit in Madrid and the Web Summit in Lisbon, Madrid Investors Talk repeats its edition at the “Four Years From Now” in Barcelona, the startup exhibition that will take place as part of the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
Access to funding for startups during their growth and scaling stages will be the focus of the debate at this new round table. Representatives from the investment and innovation departments of corporations such as Repsol and Amadeus will explain how startup initiatives are incorporated and financed in the research and innovation divisions of large corporations, as well as the financing alternatives that exist for entrepreneurs.
The round table will take place on 1 March at 16:30 on the “Agora” stage at 4YFN. Cristina Moyano, investment manager and business strategy developer at Amadeus Ventures; María del Carmen Moreno Morales, investment analyst at Repsol; José del Barrio, founder and manager of Samaipata and Diego de Arístegui, Project Director at Invest In Madrid, will address these issues in the presence of the most cutting-edge start-ups on the international scene.
Promoting meeting places where entrepreneurs, corporations, investment funds and other sources of funding for startups can come together to bring their interests together is one of the missions of Invest In Madrid in its quest to carry out innovation projects that boost Madrid’s economy. This round table will open a debate on the opportunities offered by the Madrid region to support innovative projects and the investment possibilities for them. It is no coincidence that in 2021 Madrid was the main region receiving investment aimed at startups. A total of €2,489 million from public and private funds were invested in the year to launch and develop innovative start-up projects.
The Region of Madrid continues its commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship to strengthen and boost its economy.
