This was detailed by the Regional Minister for Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, during her visit to the E-Social Hub, a flagship center of the regional government that acts as a one-stop shop for advice, training, and support for these projects.
Albert reviewed the activities of this space, which since late 2019 has provided technical guidance to more than 2,800 entrepreneurs and has hosted dozens of companies in its coworking area from a wide range of sectors, including energy consulting, home care, and audiovisual production. In her view, this center is not only an information point on grants and administrative procedures, “but also offers personalized support that has resulted in the creation of 462 new companies and more than 650 jobs.”
To support collective entrepreneurship, the Madrid Region has four specific funding lines that have benefited 1,684 entities since 2023, 592 of them in the past year alone. These grants, managed by the Regional Ministry for Economy, Finance and Employment, cover critical aspects for the success of these organizations, from subsidies for the integration of worker-members and support for the establishment of new companies, to financing investments in fixed assets and providing technical assistance to improve management.
With this financial and technical backing, the Madrid regional government provides all the necessary tools to foster business models that combine economic efficiency with social value, consolidating its position as a region of opportunity for both self-employment and cooperative enterprise.
