The event, which featured the participation of the Managing Director of Invest in Madrid, aimed to provide an up-to-date overview of the country’s business climate through the presentation of the report “Doing Business in Argentina,” jointly prepared by Deloitte and PromArgentina, as well as through an analysis of sectoral opportunities and the experiences of Spanish companies operating in the Argentine market.
During the event, Luis Socías took part in the roundtable discussion “Stability, Reforms, and Investment Promotion,” where he highlighted three key advantages offered by the Madrid Region as a destination for attracting foreign investment:
- We are an administration open to business. We believe that without companies there is no future, no economic development, and no progress.
- We are predictable. Madrid is the only region without its own regional taxes and also has the lowest and most competitive tax burden in Spain, following two decades of tax cuts.
- We guarantee legal certainty. Our main objective at Invest in Madrid is to reduce as much as possible the time between an investor’s decision to launch a project and its actual implementation.
Indeed, the Madrid Region attracts more than 67% of the foreign investment that comes into Spain. One of the main reasons behind this figure lies in the confidence that the regional government provides to companies and foreign investors.
