This was announced today by the Regional Minister for Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, during the closing of the Horizonte Madrid Norte conference, organized by El Periódico de España–Prensa Ibérica at the Alcobendas Art Center. Albert highlighted that this new tool will, in collaboration with local councils, “help businesses through measures such as local tax incentives, support for internationalization, and technology transfer among their members to promote innovation and learning.”
The minister emphasized the economic dynamism of the municipalities in northern Madrid, which bring together along the A-1 corridor cutting-edge industries, business centers, and technology parks. Among the strategic sectors present in the area, Albert pointed to the audiovisual sector, with more than 3,500 companies in Madrid; data centers, with 35 in operation and 14 under construction; and the aerospace industry, where the region accounts for 90% of Spain’s total, of which 70% is concentrated in Tres Cantos.
Albert also highlighted new transport infrastructure projects that will strengthen connectivity in the area, such as the expansion of the third lane of the M-607 between Tres Cantos and Colmenar Viejo, with an investment of nearly €31 million by the Madrid regional government, as well as the extension of the Metro network.
