The Madrid Region has participated in the Interterritorial Council for Internationalisation, a forum coordinated by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones and Invest in Spain, which brings together the bodies responsible for promoting and attracting investment in order to share best practices, analyse foreign investment trends and strengthen institutional coordination to improve Spain’s competitiveness as an investment destination.
The forum also provided an opportunity to address the challenges of international competitiveness in a context of technological transformation.
During the forum, the Director General for Economy and Industry, Jaime Martínez Muñoz, and the Director of Invest in Madrid, Luis Socías Uribe, held a working meeting with the Director General for Strategic Projects, Ester Olivas Cáceres, and the Director General for Government Coordination of the Regional Government of Valencia, Alberto Pascual Flores, to share best practices in investment attraction and administrative streamlining.
The meeting of the Interterritorial Council, chaired by the Regional Minister for Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Trade of the Regional Government of Valencia, Marián Cano, and by the CEO of ICEX, Elisa Carbonell, also brought together representatives from the autonomous communities, the General State Administration, the Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales (CEOE) and the Cámara de Comercio de España, in an international context marked by technological transformation, the restructuring of global value chains and growing competition to attract strategic investments.
