Entrix chooses Madrid to continue its international development

A leader in flexible energy systems, the German group Entrix has just opened a new office in Madrid. This establishment allows it to strengthen its position as a key player in the European market

Spain and Portugal are strategic markets for Entrix’s expansion in Europe. Our technology can directly contribute to the energy transition in the region by strengthening the storage market, improving grid stability and flexibility, and securing the profitability of investments”, said Steffen Schülzchen, CEO of Entrix, at the time of the company’s establishment in Madrid.

Spain, a priority market

Specialized in « flexible energy systems », Entrix is recognized for its optimization of battery storage systems through an intelligent solution based on artificial intelligence. To lead its development in southwestern Europe, Entrix established its first office in Madrid. The Spanish capital, as a major European hub and a central platform for German and European companies, offers a dynamic environment that facilitates Entrix’s expansion and outreach in the region. Entrix’s establishment aims to support the integration of battery storage in European markets, particularly those with strong growth in renewables. Spain, where the pipeline of projects exceeds 36 GW – more than 20 GW already connected to the grid -was naturally a priority for the German group.

Relying on artificial intelligence to optimize battery energy storage systems in real time, Entrix innovates and stands out from its competitors in the main electricity markets. The group works on both standalone battery storage projects and co-location solutions integrated with solar power plants. In Spain, Entrix intends to primarily target project developers, utility companies, and infrastructure investors by offering storage systems capable of enhancing grid flexibility and efficiently complementing their existing installations.

Advanced AI trading for energy storage optimization

To achieve this, it has chosen to place its trust in Juan Galiardo. Former general manager of Uber Spain, now Entrix’s regional director, he stated during the announcement of this establishment: “The combination of rapid market growth, strong solar penetration, and increased storage capacity needs makes the region one of the most attractive environments in Europe. With its trading solution, Entrix brings the intelligence and flexibility needed to fully optimize the economic performance of these projects.”
