The Madrid región is an ecosystem with an increasingly global mindset

Today we interview Marta Martín, Founder & Managing Partner of Turning Point, a company that designs tailor-made solutions to support organizations in the design, implementation, and communication of their corporate sustainability strategy.
  1. 1.- Could you give us a brief summary of the company? Turning Point is a corporate sustainability integrator founded in 2023 with the goal of helping companies balance profitability with purpose, promoting sustainable business models. We offer services such as aligning business strategies with sustainability, establishing appropriate governance processes, and connecting with innovations that facilitate the implementation of sustainable business plans.
  2.
  3. 2.- When did you arrive in Spain, and how have you positioned yourselves in the Madrid region? We arrived in Madrid in 2024. Since I lived, studied, and worked in Madrid, I consider it a strategic location, as it has excellent connections to Mexico, my main market. Moreover, conducting solid benchmarking analysis is crucial to identify opportunities and strengthen the business strategy.
  4.
  5. 3.- How is your market in Spain? Does it present opportunities or barriers? The market in Spain offers both opportunities and challenges. There are increasing incentives and regulations that promote business sustainability, creating a favorable environment for companies like ours that integrate responsible business models.
  6.
  7. 4.- Why did you choose the Madrid region as one of your key locations? We want to surround ourselves with talent that combines purpose, transformative energy, and great execution capacity. We believe it is the place from which we want to continue building connections that drive dialogue and action between both sides of the Atlantic.
  8.
  9. 5.- How many jobs do you expect to generate in the Madrid region in the short and medium term, and what type of profiles do you need? In the next three years, we expect to create at least four key positions in Madrid, a city we consider strategic. Rather than highly specialized profiles, we are looking for people with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are bold, ambitious, and eager to create a real impact on society and business practices. We want people who make things happen, who are action-oriented, who work from a “how to” approach, with a global and collaborative vision, and who understand that sustainable growth is only possible through strategic alliances.
  10.
  11. 6.- Would you recommend the Madrid region to other foreign investors considering expanding their business beyond their borders? Yes, I would definitely recommend the Madrid region to other investors. It is an ecosystem with an increasingly global mindset. There is palpable entrepreneurial energy and a collaborative spirit that facilitates alliances and accelerates processes.
  12.
  13. As someone who works closely with both sides of the Atlantic, I see Madrid as a key hub for scaling impact, creating value, and building real bridges between companies, institutions, and people.
