Craftgate is a payment orchestration platform that allows merchants and businesses accepting online payments to access national and international payment methods from a single platform, enabling them to manage all their online payment processes as efficiently as possible. With a strong focus on security and data protection, Craftgate meets the highest industry standards, ensuring secure and compliant payment processing for merchants and businesses worldwide.
2.- How do you ensure the security of information?
Craftgate’s technological infrastructure security is guaranteed in compliance with the PCI DSS security standard at Level 1, the highest possible level.
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of security requirements designed to ensure that all businesses processing, storing, or transmitting payment card data (such as credit or debit cards) maintain a secure environment.
3.- What is the key to Craftgate’s success?
- Simplifies management: It easily connects all payment services, from the most popular cards to rapidly growing local payment methods like Bizum.
- Increases revenue: It improves the payment acceptance rate for merchants and businesses, increasing sales and, therefore, revenue.
- Reduces payment acceptance costs: It saves on the fees merchants and businesses must pay to accept payments.

4.- Why did you choose the Madrid region as one of your key locations?
Spain is the gateway not only to Europe but also to Ibero-America. Madrid, as the capital of Spain, is a financial and geographical hub, and it also offers a favorable investment climate. It’s no coincidence that it’s the fourth-largest FinTech hub in the world, after London, Singapore, and San Francisco.
5.- What are your expectations with your arrival in our region?
Madrid has a lot to offer. For instance, qualified personnel thanks to agreements with universities in the Madrid region. As we grow, we will need to hire people prepared to tackle the digitalization challenge, to offer customer-centric, high-quality service, and to develop the business creatively with the help of technology.

At Craftgate, we couldn’t be more grateful for the help Invest in Madrid has provided, from introducing us to influential professionals who advise us through their experience, to accompanying us to FinTech events and assisting us in finding office space in the Madrid region.
7.- How many jobs do you expect to create in Madrid in the short and medium term, and what profiles do you need?
We are currently validating our value proposition in the Spanish market, but we will need to hire at least two people in the short term, before the end of the year, with profiles in business development and marketing. In the medium term, by the end of 2026, we will likely need to increase our team with profiles in account management, legal advisors, and operations managers.
8.- What would you recommend to other foreign investors thinking of opening their business in Madrid?
We would recommend the Madrid region without hesitation. The excellent geographical location, the abundance of talent, multiculturalism, quality of life, cultural offerings, gastronomy… there are so many advantages that the Madrid region offers that I’ll sum it up in one phrase: “In Madrid, no one is a foreigner.”
