Today we interview Héctor Espinosa Ortiz, Founder & CEO of Supplink.
- 1.- Could you give us a brief overview of the company?
Supplink is a comprehensive logistics services company that connects businesses with their customers through local and international transport solutions (air, sea, and land), customs management, warehousing, and cargo insurance.
We were founded in Mexico more than eight years ago, and since then we’ve grown steadily. Now we are taking a strategic step with our arrival in Spain, reinforcing our role as a global logistics partner.
Our value proposition rests on three pillars: technology, flexibility, and efficiency, always with a personalized and client-focused service.
- 2.- In what year did you arrive in Spain, and how have you positioned yourselves in the Madrid Region?
We began operations in Spain in 2025 with the opening of our office in Madrid. The decision responds to the need to be present in a first-class logistics and business hub that serves as a gateway not only to Europe and Latin America but also to Africa and the Middle East.
In these first months, we have focused on establishing ourselves in the Madrid Region —building relationships with clients, institutions, and local partners, and creating a team to help us consolidate our presence.
- 3.- Why did you choose the Madrid Region as one of your key locations?
Madrid offers strategic advantages for a logistics company like ours:
- Global connectivity: it is a key logistics hub linking Africa, the Middle East, and Europe with North and South America. From Madrid, it’s easy to connect with all these regions.
- Decision-making center: many corporate headquarters and institutions are based here, allowing proximity to economic and political decision centers.
- Investment magnet: the Madrid Region leads foreign investment in Spain, proving that it’s a territory with business confidence and strong market opportunities.
- Dynamic logistics ecosystem: from e-commerce to large-scale distribution, Madrid is a growing market demanding increasingly sophisticated logistics solutions.
In short, Madrid is a natural bridge between continents, and for Supplink it represents the ideal base to expand our network.
- 4.- What would you recommend to other foreign investors considering opening a business in the Madrid Region?
First of all, I would recommend doing thorough research and relying on local institutions, because they truly help facilitate market entry and understanding how everything works.
It’s also essential to have solid legal, tax, and operational advice, since procedures can differ from those in other countries, and it’s best to operate with full legal certainty.
And above all, invest in local talent, which is highly qualified and multicultural. Madrid has professionals with international experience, which greatly facilitates integration into such a global market.
- 5.- Do you know Invest in Madrid? Have you collaborated with them?
Yes, we know Invest in Madrid and greatly value their work as an investment promotion agency. Although we haven’t yet collaborated directly, we know they are a strategic ally for any foreign company looking to establish itself in the region. We definitely see many opportunities to rely on their programs in the future.
- 6.- How many jobs do you expect to create in the Madrid Region in the short and medium term, and what kind of profiles are you looking for?
In the short term, we expect to create between 8 and 10 positions to cover areas such as logistics operations, customer service, customs specialists, and international transport coordination.
In the medium term (3–5 years), the goal is to expand our workforce, adding more specialized profiles such as operations managers, international sales managers, and technology experts focused on logistics innovation.
We are mainly looking for professionals with experience in supply chain management, international trade, languages, and multicultural environments, as our network connects markets across Europe, Latin America, the United States, Africa, and the Middle East.
