The “Madrid Investment Forum” organized by Invest in Madrid took place on Wednesday, April 2, at Hannover Messe. During the event, we presented the opportunities that our region offers to German industrial and technological companies seeking expansion.
The Madrid region is increasingly attracting German companies in search of a dynamic and innovation-driven environment. Thanks to the strategic location of our region and our rapidly growing technological ecosystem, Madrid offers concrete opportunities to accelerate business expansion.
Diego de Arístegui, investment director, and Ana Lucas, investment manager, both from Invest in Madrid, emphasized that Germany’s importance as a strategic market for attracting investment to the Madrid region is supported by data such as Germany being the fourth-largest European investor in our region in terms of stock and the third-largest investor in terms of direct employment generated.
In this regard, Invest in Madrid’s presence at Hannover Messe reflects the potential and interest of the German market. A clear example of this is the over 15 meetings held during the fair with German companies interested in exploring the Madrid region as a destination for their subsidiary to serve the Spanish market.
During the Madrid Investment Forum, key figures from the business community also spoke, including Arnau Roca, Business director at ERNI Spain, who highlighted Madrid’s privileged position as a digital center for global innovation and complex software development, and Lucinio Muñoz, director of the ICO Foundation and former Economic and commercial counselor at the Spanish Embassy in Berlin.
A Dynamic and Attractive Ecosystem for German Investors
Madrid is emerging as a major economic powerhouse, offering an ideal environment for innovation and investment. With its strategic location, attractive tax framework, and cutting-edge infrastructure, the Spanish capital is a key destination for German industrial and technological companies, whether large corporations seeking to strengthen their presence in Southern Europe, dynamic SMEs in search of new opportunities, or innovative startups looking to scale in a strategic market.
