Invest in Madrid is traveling to Argentina to attract new investment projects to the region

The Madrid Region begins a three-day tour today in Argentina to attract new investment projects to the region. The director of Invest in Madrid, Luis Socías, will maintain during this institutional visit an agenda of meetings, encounters, and forums with companies and institutions to present the advantages offered to foreign capital in terms of legal security, profitability, low taxation, and institutional stability.

This initiative in the southern country is part of the collaboration agreement signed three months ago between the Department of Economy, Finance, and Employment and the Ministry of Economic Development and Production of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, which aims to promote business internationalization and mutual cooperation in foreign trade.

Thus, between today and next Friday, actions such as participation in a forum with a hundred representatives of companies and investment funds, several visits to headquarters of companies and institutions, such as the Innovation Park of Buenos Aires, the educational pole, and the technological district of the city, and more than twenty meetings with entrepreneurs from the biopharmaceutical, digitization, or automotive industry are planned.

Argentina has historically been a country with strong commercial interests in Spain. The country was the third in Hispanic America to allocate the most capital to the Madrid Region in 2022, concentrating in the region 87% of the total received in Spain, according to data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Enterprise. These figures reflect a continued trend over the years: from 2017 to 2022, inclusive, more than 1,540 million euros have entered Madrid from that country, mainly in sectors such as consulting, programming, or construction.
