The meeting was attended by Heinrich Schellenberg, Ambassador of Switzerland to Spain and Andorra; Suzanne Thoma, Executive Chair of Sulzer; and Eduardo Serrano, Global Head of Shared Services and Head of Sulzer’s Madrid hub.
Opened in March 2024 at Castellana 81, the Madrid hub now has 162 professionals from 27 nationalities and represents 37% of Sulzer’s workforce in Spain and Portugal. The project reflects Madrid’s ability to attract international talent and host corporate and global services centres.
Sulzer’s presence in the region is part of Switzerland’s strong investment footprint in Madrid. The region accounts for €11.662 billion, or 63.2% of the stock of Swiss productive investment in Spain, and is home to 692 Swiss-owned companies.
At Invest in Madrid, we will continue working closely with Sulzer, supporting the growth of its hub, talent recruitment and the development of new activities.
