Invest in Madrid has welcomed an Argentine technical delegation led by Renata Ghilotti, President of Aguas Santafesinas S.A., and Leonel Marmiroli, Secretary of Water and Sanitation of the Government of the Province of Santa Fe, during a visit organised in collaboration with the Fundación Internacional para la Libertad (FIL).
During the meeting held at Invest in Madrid’s headquarters, the delegation had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the advantages offered by the Madrid Region as a destination for attracting foreign investment, as well as the opportunities the region provides for business development and the implementation of new international projects.
The Madrid Region stands out as a competitive business environment committed to reducing bureaucracy and simplifying regulation, providing a stable and predictable framework for companies. The region offers a dynamic economic ecosystem, legal certainty and institutional stability — key factors in building international investors’ confidence.
Furthermore, Madrid is the only Spanish autonomous region without its own regional taxes and has one of the lowest and most competitive tax burdens in Spain, consolidating its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
The session also featured contributions from representatives of the business and financial sectors. Jorge Perujo, from Mirlo law firm; Alejandro Gallardo, CEO of Galera&Co., who addressed the tax advantages of the Madrid Region; Yolanda Virdia della Roca, Director of the Madrid Wealth Management Specialists Centre at CaixaBank; Guillermo Baca, Wealth Management Director at CaixaBank; Sergio Valdés, Director of Wealth Management Luxembourg at CaixaBank; and Javier Vinuesa, shared their insights on Madrid’s economic environment, investment opportunities and the region’s role as an international financial centre.
As part of the agenda designed by Invest in Madrid, the Argentine delegation also visited key institutions and strategic initiatives across the region, including Las Rozas Innova, Mercamadrid and IMDEA Agua.
This visit strengthens economic ties between Argentina and the Madrid Region and highlights international interest in the Madrid model as a benchmark for business growth, innovation and foreign investment attraction.
