The Minister for Digitalization, Miguel López-Valverde, presented the results of this edition at the Centro de Innovación Digitaliza Madrid, highlighting the program’s excellent reception.
“This high level of interest reflects the dynamism of Madrid’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as the trust that startups place in the support provided by the regional government,” said the minister.
The program is part of the European initiative RETECH – Redes de Emprendimiento Digital and is structured around three specialized innovation hubs:
- Las Rozas as the reference center for greentech and sustainability projects.
- Tres Cantos, which will host startups linked to the aerospace sector.
- Madrid (capital city), through the Digitaliza Madrid Innovation Center, which will act as the core hub for digital and healthcare transformation.
Each hub will provide workspace, advanced technological resources, and specialized advisory services so that startups can effectively develop, test, and scale their solutions.
Selection of 60 Startups with Access to Mentoring, Investment, and Networking
Of the 158 applications received:
- 64 came from the environmental sector,
- 62 from the health sector,
- 24 from the aerospace sector.
Only 60 startups (20 per hub) will be selected to participate in an intensive program that includes:
- 24 hours of personalized mentoring.
- Practical training and strategic consulting.
- Access to testing facilities and networking events with investors.
- Support in business management, trend analysis, and direct connection with potential clients.
With this program, the of Madrid Region reinforces its position as one of the most active tech hubs in Europe. The region already attracts over 30% of total startup investment in Spain, according to industry data, with strong momentum in areas such as digitalization, biotechnology, and energy transition.
