Madrid consolidates its position as the epicenter of Mexican investment in Europe with the arrival of CONAJOMX

The inauguration of the permanent headquarters of the National Council of Young Pro México in the Spanish capital, coinciding with FITUR 2026, marks a milestone in strengthening the transatlantic business axis and positions Madrid as the strategic hub for Mexican capital

In a strategic move that reinforces Madrid’s position as the main gateway for Latin American talent and investment in Europe, the National Council of Young ProMéxico (CONAJOMX) has officially inaugurated its new headquarters in the Spanish capital. The opening, held במסגרת the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2026, represents not only a symbolic gesture but also the creation of an operational platform designed to channel investment projects, promote entrepreneurship, and establish stable networks of collaboration between both countries.

In addition, it is worth noting that Marcos Ramírez Amoretti has been appointed as the new representative of CONAJO in Spain. Likewise, the representative of the Madrid office is Adrián Pedraja Barrientos.

A strategic hub in the heart of Madrid

The new office, located in the city center, aims to fill a historical gap in bilateral relations by offering a space for guidance and support for Mexican entrepreneurs seeking to establish themselves or diversify their operations in Spain. During the ceremony, led by CONAJOMX’s founding president, Ronaldo Elías Águila, it was highlighted that Madrid has become the preferred destination for the expansion of young Mexican entrepreneurs, thanks to its innovation ecosystem and legal certainty.

Institutional support and future outlook

The event featured strong institutional representation, underlining the importance of Mexico as the guest country at FITUR 2026 under the coordination of the Ministry of Tourism. Among the attendees was Mexican senator Néstor Camarillo Medina, president of the Commission on Circular Economy and Business Development, who emphasized the need to intensify business exchanges in order to generate trust and real opportunities in a complex global context.

Meanwhile, Juan Manuel Riesgo Vialas, the organization’s representative in the Principality of Asturias, pointed to a significant shift in trend: a growing number of Mexican companies are decisively choosing Spain as the base for their European operations, seeking synergies at both national and regional levels.

The consolidation of this permanent headquarters reaffirms CONAJOMX’s commitment to economic diplomacy and the orderly growth of its members abroad. The organization has made it clear that Madrid is not just a destination, but an essential strategic partner for the internationalization of Mexican talent. Following the sessions in the capital, the delegation plans to travel to the Principality of Asturias to explore opportunities in the industrial, logistics, and agri-food sectors, thus concluding an agenda focused on tangible, long-term results.

With this initiative, the Mexico–Spain business axis is strengthened, positioning Madrid as the true epicenter of Hispanic-American entrepreneurship and a priority destination for productive investment in the region.
