The data published today by the National Statistics Institute (INE) show that, on average, 78 businesses were created per day in the Madrid Region, with an average capital investment of €35,388, reaching a total of €1.003 billion, representing 17.4% of the national total.
Meanwhile, in December of last year, Madrid also achieved the highest business creation figures, with 2,445 companies established, accounting for 20.9% of all Spain’s autonomous communities, marking a +6.8% increase compared to 2024. In this case, Catalonia (2,237) and Andalusia (2,048) ranked next.
The subscribed capital of the newly created companies reached €128 million, reflecting a +40% increase and accounting for 16.6% of the national total.
