In total, the region received more than €1.163 billion during this period, representing 25.8% of all international capital registered.
The data processing and server hosting services sector stood out in particular, absorbing 66.8% of this foreign investment, amounting to €776 million.
This was highlighted today by the Regional Minister for Digitalization, Miguel López-Valverde, during his address at the closing ceremony of the first edition of the “Madrid, Investment Destination Forum”, organized by El Confidencial. He emphasized the importance of “Madrid’s business ecosystem—dynamic, with a high level of digital talent and a regulatory environment that encourages innovation.”
“We are implementing policies that promote collaboration between companies, universities, and research centers, while strengthening digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. All of this makes the region a strategic location for national and international technology companies to develop their projects and create high-quality employment,” he stated.
