The Madrid Region has increased aid to the industrial sector by 115% this year, reaching nearly €40 million, in order to accelerate the technological transformation of the productive sector, with particular attention to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through digitalization programs and the acquisition of new production equipment. This was highlighted today by the Regional Minister for Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, during the closing session of Madrid Leaders Forum 2026, organized by the Confederación de Empresarios de Madrid (CEIM) and dedicated to Artificial Intelligence.
Albert emphasized that these grants directly encourage the creation of skilled employment. “This is not only about subsidizing technology, but also about investing in talent, knowledge, and the future of the productive sector,” the minister explained, highlighting the leadership of the Community of Madrid in this field, with more than €6.9 billion invested in R&D—almost 30% of the national total—and more than 300,000 professionals employed in high-technology industries and services.
She also recalled that the Digital Talent Plan has already trained more than 8,700 students in critical skills, with a job placement rate close to 60%.
