In addition, thanks to this digital tool, 129 of these sites were sold, with a combined surface area of 960,317.65 square metres. It currently includes 102 municipalities, with four more expected to be added in the coming months: San Sebastián de los Reyes, Las Rozas de Madrid, La Acebeda and Leganés.
This regional platform aims to attract both national and international investment and is widely consulted. Since its launch in 2014, the sale of 535 plots has been completed, amounting to a total value of €944,839,199.
Recently, five plots were sold in the city of Madrid, with a combined surface area of 8,411.75 square metres, for €10,668,400; another five in Paracuellos de Jarama—single-family residential plots in this case—with a total area of 832.62 square metres, for €635,000; and one plot in Colmenar Viejo, measuring 2,076.64 square metres, for €1,323,140.50.
The Land Portal 4.0 is free to use and allows users to access information on publicly owned properties available for sale, concession or surface rights. Their location and characteristics can be consulted on the institutional website, which is designed with search parameters that enable quick and easy access to results.
In this way, the platform brings together a large volume of information that was previously scattered across different managing bodies. It also features a viewer tailored to investors’ needs, enabling them to efficiently identify sites of interest, with information available in both Spanish and English. This initiative is showcased at numerous national and international real estate fairs, thereby promoting municipal public land both within Spain and abroad.
