The Madrid Region takes part in MIPIM 2026, the world’s leading real estate fair, to attract investment and promote its urban development projects

The Madrid Region is taking part for the seventh consecutive year in MIPIM 2026 (Marché International des Professionnels de l’Immobilier), the world’s leading real estate fair

At the event, which will take place from 9 to 13 March at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes (France), the regional government will seek to attract international capital and promote the major urban development projects planned across the region.

For this purpose, it will attend with a stand shared with Madrid City Council, featuring 150 square metres of indoor space and an 88-square-metre terrace. The stand will showcase the regional government’s policies to increase housing supply and ensure legal certainty for investors.

The Regional Minister for Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, and the Regional Minister for Environment, Agriculture and Interior, Carlos Novillo, will take part in the inauguration of the institutional space, which will take place on Tuesday the 10th. Afterwards, they will tour other prominent stands, such as those of Berlin and Helsinki, and hold several meetings.

This initiative will mark the beginning of an intense work agenda during the five days of the fair, in which the regional government will take part in various technical presentations and professional meetings focused on urban development projects.

Among the initiatives to be presented is the Land Portal 4.0, an interactive digital tool that allows users to locate and consult, through a web-based viewer, the supply of publicly owned plots available for sale, concession, or surface rights across the region.

Two new urban development consortia will also be presented: Puerta de Madrid (Leganés), a residential project, and Madrid Puerta Oeste (Móstoles), focused on industrial and logistics uses. Private sector stakeholders will also play a prominent role, presenting their strategic projects in the Community of Madrid and reinforcing the region’s image as an economic engine for the country.

In this regard, eight privately promoted compensation boards will be present: Madrid Nuevo Norte, Valdecarros, Los Berrocales, Los Ahijones and Solana de Valdebebas in the capital, as well as Valgrande (Alcobendas), Retamar de la Huerta (Alcorcón), and Brunete City Council, which will present five developments in its municipality.

With its participation in MIPIM 2026, the regional government reaffirms its commitment to modern urban planning that is more environmentally friendly and capable of generating employment.
