The Regional Minister for Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, took part in the third edition of the Madrid Global: Business, Investment and the Future event, organised by the Leganés City Council, which brought together more than 300 business leaders.
“Madrid is not just its capital city; it is made up of 179 municipalities,” she stressed, adding that the regional government is committed to ensuring that all of them benefit from investment, opportunities and first-class public services. The Southern District will include a Madrid Innovation and Employment Training Centre in Leganés, specialising in mechanical manufacturing and industrial automation. It will be joined by a new centre in Fuenlabrada specialising in logistics and aeronautics, as well as another centre dedicated to drone testing and training, the latter forming part of the regional government’s strategy for the sector, with an investment of €16.3 million.
