The announcement was made by President Isabel Díaz Ayuso following an extraordinary meeting of the Regional Government Council, where a series of measures were agreed to promote the economic recovery of these areas following the emergency situation.
The regional government will therefore make use of the Investment Accelerator, the body that can cut administrative processing times by up to half for projects declared to be of special interest to the region. This preferential route will be available to business reconstruction initiatives that contribute to economic and territorial rebalancing in the affected municipalities.
Thanks to this mechanism, procedures such as environmental impact assessments and municipal demolition and construction permits will have their processing times reduced by half and may be handled as a matter of urgency, enabling companies to resume their activities as quickly as possible. To facilitate access to this support, the regional government, through Invest in Madrid, will assist businesses throughout the entire recovery process.
In addition, the regional government will allocate €500,000 to provide a €600 incentive to self-employed workers who register as such during 2027 in the affected municipalities. The measure aims to encourage the creation of new business projects, support the succession of activities that disappeared as a result of the emergency, and help boost the local economy.
